Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your device, in the app's private storage. We don't have a server in the MVP, so we never see your decks or progress.

How do I back up my decks?

Both Apple and Google preserve app-private data through standard device backups (iCloud Backup on iOS, Google One on Android). A dedicated import/export tool is on our roadmap.

How do I delete all my data?

Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Reset seed data. Or simply uninstall the app — there is no server-side copy to clean up.

What does the SRS algorithm do?

Diko uses an Anki-flavoured SM-2 scheduler. New cards graduate after two short learning steps; correct answers grow the interval by your card's ease factor; "Again" drops a card into a relearning queue and shrinks its ease.

How do I change the app language?

Open Settings → Language. Diko ships in English, French, Català, Spanish, Russian, and German. Card backs in our seed decks are translated into all six.

Why don't I get notifications in Expo Go?

Expo removed expo-notifications from Expo Go starting with SDK 53. Reminders work fully in development builds and in the released TestFlight / Play Store builds.
